If you have one week trip in Burma, you may not be able to soak in all the highlights of the country but this itinerary will help you enjoying the best :
Day 1 : Yangon and the Golden Pagoda
For first time in Myanmar, Yangon is a nice place to start. This vibrant city is full of colors boasting through gilded pagoda, British Era buildings, exotic China town and mordern skyscapers.
Recommendation for your visiting day : take a guided walk in Yangon downtown, sampling the street foods then drop in the Chinese temple. Break by Sakura Lounge for a drink with view.
Spend the rest of your day by Shwedagon, the remarkable pagoda which is believed to shrine Buddha relics.
Day 2 -3 : Bagan - Journey back to the time
With over 2,200 temples and pagodas dated back to 11th century, Bagan is a stunning place where you feel the past clearly.
Suggestion for activity : embark on an active bike ride to see well-known sites like Shwezigon, Ananda as well some remote areas with less tourist. If you are keen on local culture, take a guided tour to observe lacquer ware traditional workshop.

Day 7 : Yangon - Taking Souvenir of Myanmar
For the last day in Myanmar, Yangon and its surrounding including Bago, Thanlyin or Twante are attracting for some cultural touch yet the city still has numerous attractions you should see : Royal Lake, Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda or Scott Market.
