Myanmar Visa Requirements

GENERAL

This page sets out the visa or entry permit requirements of Republic of the Union of Myanmar. It should not be considered as full statement of the law governing immigration. Even where all requirements are met, traveler's appications are still considred by Immigration Authorities and we have the right to accept or refuse any person permission to enter.

Travelers who enter Myanmar for business or tourist purpose are required to read and acknowledge the following requirements before applying. 

VISA ON ARRIVAL DEFINATION

Visa on arrival (or Online visa, E-visa) is granted at the port of entry. The visitor must apply and be approved through internet before they can enter through immigration desk.

STANDARD PROCEDURE

1. Sending application

- You are required to fill in this application form with information as exact as in your passport

- An alternative way is to download application form, fill out and send to our email: info@myanmarvisa.org 

2. Being approved

Once your visa request is approved, we will send you a "Visa Approval Letter" which is the evidence of your visa. Print out and bring with you when you arrive in our airport to collect the visa stamp. Be informed that the Visa Approval Letter valid 90 days from the date of issue. Enter Myanmar later than that, you will need a new approval.

3. Collecting visa stamp

Our Immigration Authorities in the airport check-point will ask you to present the Visa Approval Letter for getting visa stamp. This process take 5 minutes with no extra fee.

PREPARATION

- Personal information as in passport

- Photo (01, white background, straight face, formal dress)

- Addtional document if required

ONLINE VISA DURATION AND EXTENSION

- 28 days for tourist visa

- 70 days for business visa

This duration starts counting from the date of your entrance. 

PAYMENT

Online visa applicant will pay only once when you apply with our system. There is no further fee for your entrance. Check out Myanmar Visa Fees.
