Apply For Burma Business Visa from America

For all US Citizens who plan to do business, a business visa is a must. It allows you to travel and do business in Myanmar for the period of 70 days with the posibility of over stay or applying for a longer visa. 

These are all things you should note to apply visa easily : 
 

Business Visa Requirements

• Your passport with at least 6 month validity ( valid from the date you arrive in Myanmar )
• Photos in colors, passport size
• Invitation Document from a local company which is registered in Myanmar and authorize to invite you to work in the country. This company should be mentioned as the guaranter during your stay in Myanmar.
• Travel Documents including flight confirmation or hotel booking will be much useful.
   

Business Visa Types

Business Visa for 70 days - single entry.
For the first time application, you will have the chance to get 70 days stay with 30 days for over stay. Since there is no extension for business visa, over stay is the premier choice if you want to stay longer for the first time. The fee is $3/ day.
Burma business visa can be applied through Embassy of Myanmar in Washington ( from 3days to 2 weeks ) or online ( through this website, it takes 2 days ) and the fee is different.

Long stay visa 6 months or 1 year is only obtainable after you already get 3 single business visa of 70 days. There are some exception case by case that you can do at embassy with much more document to prove your working time.
Multiple visa is also another special case that you can deal only case-by-case basis. 
 

Ports of Entry

If you travel by air, you can enter by one of these three international airports : Yangon, Mandalay and NayPyidaw ( capital )
Border crossing can both use Evisa business and ordinary visa can enter by following border check points : Tachileik, Myawaddy and Kawthaung ( border with Thailand )

No business visa is applied for border gates between Myanmar - India or Myanmar - Bangladesh so far.
