1. Spring Temple Buddha, China
The Spring Temple Buddha in China is the largest statue till date on the planet. The aggregate height of this giant landmark is 502 ft, including a 66 ft lotus throne and a 82 ft building. The construction of the Spring Temple Buddha was started pretty much after the Bamiyan Buddhas were exploded by the Taliban in Afghanistan. The statue was officially unveiled to the world in 2008 and portrays the Vairocana Buddha.

2. Laykyun Setkyar, Myanmar
The second tallest statue on the planet, the Laykyun Setkyar is 116 meter tall, and is located in Monywa, Myanmar. The development of Laykyun Setkyar began in 1996 and was completed in 2008. The statue stands on a 13.5 meter tall throne. There also is a lift inside the statue for guests to elevate to the top for appreciating the all encompassing perspective of the city. You can also see the 89 meter lying Buddha, along the Laykyun Setkyar statue. One plus one?

3. The Motherland Calls, Russia
Once the world's tallest statue, The Motherland Calls is a statue in Volgograd, Russia, which was built in commemoration of the Battle of Stalingrad. This 87-meter tall statue is viewed as an astounding engineering accomplishment. The world's tallest statue of a lady is likewise known by an assortment of different names, including Mother Motherland, The Motherland, and The Mamayev Monument.

4. Great Buddha of Thailand, Thailand
The tallest statue in Thailand, the Great Buddha is 92 meter tall and can be easily spotted from afar, of course! The construction of this statue began in 1990 and was finished in 2008. 5. Ushiku Daibutsu, Japan
A portrayal of Amitabha Buddha, the Ushiku Daibutsu is located in Ushiku in the Japanese Prefecture of Ibaraki. The statue is 110 meters tall, including the 10-meter lotus pedestal. It commemorated the inception of Shinran, who began Jodo Shinshu in Buddhism. The statue has a lift taking tourists to the floor at the top from where, breathtaking views of the entire city can be enjoyed.
