Yangon nightlife

Nightlife is still a new definition in Myanmar till the time we wrote this article. It has been changing slightly and seem to be very open soon. However, at the moment, there are not so many choices to spend your night. Amongst those, we recommend you some highlights:

1. Sipping some drinks from height with grand view
The Thiripyitsaya Sky Bistro is located on the rooftop of Sakura Tower, offering expansive view to city centre and Shwedagon Pagoda. Light music with wide options for cocktails and some foods.

Vistar Bar
A trendy destination for unrivalled view to Shwedagon pagoda, if you want to take some photo, go here of course. Take a shisha and share some fun with friends.

The Space Bar
A good spot to please your taste with some drinks. The place delivers some unique experience with good view.

2. Dine Late / Supper
China town
Different streets, smoky with baked fishes, vegetables and exotic indigrents… it is Khao San road. Cheap but delicious food and do not forget to order Burmese beer !

Beer Stations
You may find more men than families in these places but it has something to offer you like a real local dining experience. Rustic decoration does not mean you will not have something tasteful !

Royal Lake or Kandawgyi Park
Full of restaurant open late with different cuisine from Thai to Chinese and traditional Burmese. No better place than that for a great lake view with wind and some music probably

3. Late Night
Pioneer
Questionably Yangon’s most genuine club, it’s a lively spot that plays some music that may surprise you but mingle with the crowd and follow that vibe could be a good choice.

GTR
The self-proclaimed as most modern club in Yangon… A must go place for a night in music with recent hits.

KTV
Inspired by local musicians and get more options for another type of entertainment after some cups.
