Inya Lake and Park
Location: Bounded by University Ave., Pyay Rd., Kahar Aye Pagoda Rd., and Parami Rd. 
The park covers a big part of Yangon city with the largest lake: the Inya. Many part of its banks are far from main streets while there are many paths to stroll, enjoying the breeze and traditional Myanmar teashops.
There are hotels with lake view as well luxury residental buildings, villas. The lake is a favorite place for young Yangon people.

Kan Taw Mingalar Park 
Location: corner of U Wisara Rd. and U Htaung Rd., just south of Shwe Dagon Paya 
One of the pupolar parks for couples and families, Kan Taw Mingalar Park is a nice place to relax and unwind with lots of tree, beautiful lake and for those who prefer rowboats, duck pedal boats or simply drink by one of its styled pavillons.

People's Square and People's Park
Location: Near the Shwedagon Pagoda.
This is a big park with full of grass and tree, in total 130 acres. With its convenienct location on the west side of Shwedagon Pagoda, the People Park used to be part of the palace grounds during the reign of Queen Shin Sawbu, and then during the colonial period it was a golf course. In both the square and park, there are thousands of plants, trees and flowers.

Yangon Zoo and Garden
Location: near Kandawgyi Garden.
Yangon Zoological Gardens was established in 1901 with the public donation of 240.000 Kyats. The construction started at the present site after clearing 61 acres of virgin soil. but the first collection of wild animals initiated since 1882 in connection with the Phayre's Museum which was then situated at the present site of the Yangon General Hospital. The collected animals were moved gradually to their new enclosures.
The newly established zoological gardens. by the side of the Royal Lakes. was named Victoria Memorial Park which was formally opened on January 1906.
A Natural History Museum which was also a part of the zoo. was opened on the 1st of May. 1966. Furthermore. an amusement park was opened on the 7th of October. 1997. The Zoological Garden Amusement Park is also a well-known spot for children and teenagers.
