Yangon boasts a wide range of galleries which reflect boat contemporary art and traditional works with deep rooted Buddhism impact.
Despite of the fact that Myanmar has been left isolated for decateds, Burmese art still developed quietly and impressively.

River Gallery

With a convenient location, adjacent to historic Strand Hotel, the gallery of River offers a wide range of contemporary art. There are more than 30 artists put their works in this gallery. You will find different styles, subjects and media that Myanmar artists are using to express their individual vision on socio-political struggles.

Inya Art Gallery

Established by famous Aung Myint artist, the Inya Lake has some remarkable work that are now exhibited in National Art Museum of Singapore, Fukuoka Art Museum and the National Art Gallery of Malaysia; as well as in private collections in Singapore, Japan, Thailand and many other countries

New Zero Art Space
54 (1-E), Bo Yar Nyunt, Dagon Township, Yangon.
This Space is not only the playground for many artists in Burma, it is a non-profit gallery and art school runs a sponsored program that allow local artists to engage with international artists.

Anawmar Gallery
18A Thukhawaddy Road, Sooniram Park, Yankin Township.
Founded by Nay Myo Say, Anawmar Gallery is a distinctive place inspired by one for the leading impressionists, U Lun Gywe. Nay Myo Say had developed his style of paintings in both contemporary and abstract features. He subtly integrates traditional Buddhist and Burmese symbols with modern elements, and selectively applies bright colors to emphasize important points related to the underlying theme.
