There are many means of domestic transportations for your travel in Myanmar. With the support of Myanmar Government, all the transportation system is upgraded step by step to offer better quality of transfer from one city to another. These are some basic type of transfer you should consider to book in advance for your travel inside the country:

Domestic Airlines
There are 6 famous domestic airlines including Air Bagan, Air Mandalay, Air KBZ, Yangon Air, Asiawings and Mai Air, offering some 66 air trips to all the places in Myanmar from southern Kaw Thaoung to northern Putao point.
Domestic planes are competitively small in Myanmar but very safe.
Please note that flights are not always daily to some remote area such as Dawei, Kengtung.. specially during the summer time. Flight schedules of all airlines are subject to change according to the season.

Bus and Taxi
In big cities like Yangon, Mandalay and at many airports, you will always find a cab to explore the famous landmarks of each area. Taxi now is equipped with air conditioning and basically, it is very safe.
Bus tickets is the cheapest way to travel inside Myanmar. Please note, all bus station are located outside the cities so you have to plan a short transfer from your hotel to bus station. You can buy bus in advance with the help from your guest house, hotel.

Trains
Trains is rather slow and sometimes bumping but very interest. Along with scenic sceneries, you are good chance to interact with local people.
Trains has many routes and you can discover some less-visited sites like Mawlamyine, Hsi paw,....
To book the train tickets, the best is to ask a local tour operator cause you can only book 3 days in advance and foreigners must book first class ticket. 
 

Boats, Cruise and Ferry
There are many ferries in different rivers which offer day trip from one place to another.
Cruises are now available  with option from superior to very luxury option, cruising from 1 to 20 days. Famous cruises are: Road to Mandalay, Orcaella Cruise, Paukan Cruise, Pandaw Cruise, Amara Cruises...
