ANISAKAN FALLS

 

Dattawgyaik waterfall is welknown as Anisakan Falls, a popular picnic spot which is located at the half way point between Mandalay and Pyin Oo Lwin. 15 miles north of Anisaka village, the plateau disappears into an impressive wooded amphitheatre, its sides ribboned with several waterfalls. You will find here blue pools of cold water for a peaceful refreshment and also many Buddhas, pagodas around.

The height of the waterfall is about 122m and 90m depth. Steepy track takes one and half hour to climb and get back. The amount of water is less in winter when it's best to take photos. 

 

HAMPSHIRE FALLS AND CAVES (PWE KAUK)

 

The Pwe Kauk Falls is a popluar destination in Pyin Oo Lwin, also called Hampshire in Bristish time. The place is not too far from Pyin Oo Lwin on the way to Lashio, there are two waterfalls and some natural caves separate by one hour hike. The shallow waters are allowed to swim and play while the cave is free entry.

 

HSIPAW WATERFALL (NAM HU NWE)

 

Hsipaw is a friendly small town in northeastern Shan state with peaceful sceneries. less than 10 miles away from Hsipaw, not too far from Myitnghe river is the Nam Hu Nwe waterfall hide behind small villages and the wood. The benefit of your long walk is deep clean refreshing pool at the bottom for cooling off in. The hot spring are closer to the town but they are used locally as washing and bathing place so not alway the cleanest.

 

DEE DOTE WATERFALL 

 

Dee Dote layered waterfall with crystal clear, bluish water (one hour drive from Mandalay). Dee Doke waterfall is located at the outskirts of Mandalay city. It takes about 1 hours driving distance (Car/motor) from Mandalay city. From Mandalay to Pyin Oo Lwin highway, near Ohn Chaw town use the road which leads to Ye Ywar Hydro Power Dam. There is only one highway to go there. Keep driving until you see the Sign “To Dee Doke Waterfall”.

 

PIN TAUK WATERFALLS

 

The highlight of Pin Tauk area, surrounded by villages of Akha and Enn tribes. The waterfalls is much less touristic, stay behind deep wood. The water is much cool and clean by begining of winter when the amount of splash and water is not too much. 

A pinic lunch on Pintauk waterfall's side is included in any travel program to this site.
