Filipinos Can Visit Myanmar for 14 days without Visa
According to the new agreement between Myanmar and Philippines governments, the residents of the Philippines are allowed to visit Myanmar within 14 days without visa means they are listed in visa exemption list for 2 weeks.
However, this is only applicable for 2 weeks stay. Those who want to do business of travel in the country more than 2 weeks, be advised that a solid visa is a must.
In statement, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Filipino nationals holding ordinary passports may now enter Myanmar without a visa and stay there for up to 14 days, starting January 4, 2013.
January 4 is the date of effectivity of the agreement between the Philippine and Myanmar governments on the visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports. The agreement was signed during Myanmar President U Thein Sein's state visit to the Philippines last December 5.
The visa-free entry agreement is expected to boost tourism, trade and investment between the Philippines and Myanmar.
